North Midlands District

North Midlands District covers the country areas immediately south and west of the city of Launceston.

The badge depicting a 1960s vintage formulae one racing car commemorates the road racing circuit which once existed at Longford, a town placed centrally in North Midlands District.

For over a decade a major race meeting was held at Longford. There was no "Australian Grand Prix" as there is in Melbourne these days, but most important race for open wheelers in Australia was held at Longford on the first Monday in March each year. Two competitors of note were Stirling Moss and Jack Brabham.

Key: Joeys (J); Cubs (C); Scouts (S); Venturers (V); and Rovers (R).
